Where are you going to go?

    Libertarian?

It seems all they care about these days, is aborting babies, gay marriage, and transgender bathrooms.

    I'm fine with "unaffiliated"

I'll make my calls based on each candidate and their platform. If that's Democrat or Republican or Independent or Libertarian in future elections, so be it... but I'll no longer call myself a "Republican".

My interests are me and mine, and the Constitution.

Sounds an awful lot like Trump's platform.

    Really?

It seems to me that Trump's platform has been to pander directly to whatever group is standing directly in front of him at the time...and it has worked remarkably well for him so far.

But, I don't take a single word that comes out of that man's mouth seriously.

To me "Make America Great Again" is EXACTLY the same as "Hope and Change"...

Obama got all the "Change" he ever needed to line his pockets for he rest of his life, and it looks like Trump is looking for a little "greatness" to do the same for him...

Sounds an awful lot like Trump's platform.

This is just another among many data points that supports my suspicion that Trump's vagaries make people fill in the missing parts with their own hopes and dreams. It's actually amusing to see it.

As expected, National Review can't see the forest for the trees.

Donald Trump, and people like him are the remake of the Republican party. Nationalism, America first; an to end globalist policies like open boarders, and unfair trade deals.

The old guard, like National Review, Glenn Beck, Ted Cruz, and and the Bush Crime Syndicate are being purged from the party as we speak.

Because Glenn Beck and Ted Cruz aren't Nationalists? They support open borders? And I'm not all that sure I'm ready to have the newly purged Bush Crime Syndicate replaced with the Trump Crime Syndicate. Oh, but he's so honest. His hair is so perfect.

On the domestic front: focus on the economy...for all Americans, not just gutting the middle class so the good times continue to roll for the wealthy. That means real, organic wage increases for everyone, low inflation, and an honest conversation about immigration, healthcare, and military spending. More dollars in more pockets means more vote for republicans.

    Why don't they get that?

Forget the social platform entirely. Individual liberty is incompatible with the federal government telling people what is right or wrong. The war on drugs, the constant distractions with "bedroom behaviors"...you guys need to stop. Let the democrats be the party of big government...be an actual alternative!!!

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to PaulF again. But like I said, there's a concerted effort to wipe from power anyone who can oppose the Progressive push for European socialism.

Make America Great Again is an otherwise empty slogan that can mean whatever it needs to mean to a person who thinks America is declining. In other words, the genius behind it is that it is extremely pander friendly.

You could call yourself 'GeorgeWillian' It has a teensy bit of the cachet of 'Orwellian' while being much, much lamer

Instead of shouting con-man until the cows come home, how about you read his WRITTEN POLICY that hasn't changed in nearly a year? https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions

And weren't you just telling me the other day that Trump doesn't want greatness and that he just wants hillary to be elected? Why are you flip-flopping, are you just going to say what ever you can to pander to the specific person you're arguing against?

    Wow...almost a WHOLE year?

That is amazingly consistent for a man that identified as a Democrat until...what, 2012?

And now you want to attack me, personally. Bold move. Let's see how that plays out for you...especially after I have warned you (repeatedly) not to do that very thing.
