    None of us are perfect but if my toddler was repeating swear words, I think my response would be that of a feeling of failure rather than proud...and (iI'm not proud to admit) this is coming from a person that has been known to release a string of profanity that would peel the bark off of a tree on occasion.

    Well, look. Putin is a leader. IF (and that's still a significant "if" IMHO) Russian state-sponsored/state-tolerated hackers are responsible, I would expect Putin to have been made aware of it. That's not a minor thing. During some eras, it would even be casus belli.

    It is somewhat more disheartening to think that such an act could've been the result of "amateur" hackers.
