Do you have any proof beyond a government site with a stake in the outcome?

That would be the absolute last response.
But even in that I fear we have lost enough of our spines to never go there.

Social media has been a serious tool at dividing this country.
Think back before we had a device in our hands every waking moment or at least access to it the total number of minutes a day we discussed politics. Think about it. It was maybe on break or at the water cooler for a moment. Lunch time maybe. But not 24/7/365 like we do now. Heck people its 9:00 on a Sunday evening and what are all of us doing. Just like 9:00 yesterday evening. It has become endless. And in that we have been divided into our tribes/camps call it what you will.
The anonymity provided by the keyboard has emboldened the weasels and the worms. I have 2 nephews that are total nerds. Scared of their own shadows and totally unable to defend themselves due to physical size and fear of pain.
When they were in high school either myself or my brother would have to go get them at school to save their butts from the bully's. That was their lott in this life. Now, to hear them on line they are loud-mouthed brazen little :poop:'s that cause more trouble than they are worth collectively. Progressive left leaning **** heads. They would jump all over me on Face Book as they live out of state and felt immune to my wrath. This is just an example of what is going on with society right now. Keyboard commandos live from moms basement.
An entire generation of **** heads stirring the pot for socialism as they do nit fully understand what it really is......but it is free.

A side note on this, we saw them at a family gathering and that was hilarious.
One of my favorite posts of yours so far.

I have intentionally been trying to get back in the gun forum side of things because I have forgotten a little bit about why I came here in the first place.....it wasn't politics.

This came to me today when I was talking to my daughter and she casually just got on her phone in the middle of the conversation. I asked why and she looked at me like...hey I am listening.....:dunno:

She was but the :Connection: was a strong call to her and many many others. They can not drive "A" to "B" and stay off the damned phone. Walking the dog. Going into the store. You call it.

Obviously what happened on the 6th wasn’t illegal enough so Biden wants to pass new laws against “domestic terrorism”

If past experiences have any future telling abilities, I’ll predict it won’t apply to what Antifa or BLM did all last summer.

This week has been the first time in my life where I've viewed the future of the country completely negatively. Even the last 72 hours things have accelerated so rapidly that I fear there may not be any going back. The storming of the capitol was the shot across the bow for politicians.
Oh, definitely a negative view of the future, but rather than seeing the breach of the capital as a shot across the bow, it was more like a shot into their own foot. This has alienated the right. At some point embarrassment should set in for how stupid it was. Way more was lost than gained. Biden has gained, not lost, more support for ****ing up the country.

It might not intend to, but it will. That may be the only hope for not getting tighter screws put to us comparable to TSA after 9/11. Even AOC tweeted something (my paraphrase) about us not needing more laws, we didn't use the ones we had.

Of course, the liberals rarely support gun rights. They now have all the ammunition they need to pass more gun control.

Why is the source that claims it happened more believable than the source that says it didn’t happen?
Cognitive dissonance. Even very intelligent people are susceptible to it. We all are at some point. Ever make an investment then watch it not do what you expect? You adjust your narrative a bit to explain the temporary problem. Then maybe it does go up and it fits your narrative. Or sometimes you finally admit you didn't understand the investment as well as you thought, or that investing is prone to more variables then you thought (when you let go of that narrative and your dissonance about the subject)

Investing in an idea can be even harder to let go of. I saw people here in early November say they won't BELIEVE that Biden won the election. If you decide not to believe it, then it doesn't matter what the data says. This is particularly true when you can google your way to blogs or Youtube videos that reinforce your belief.

It is not, others were impeaching the comments of a retired respected general that, to my knowledge, has not stated he is controlling the news, like the media has, and has no obvious hires in the race...

Okay. Let me put it this way. Do you believe the general was telling the truth? Was there was a battle in Frankfort?

It is a data point. We are in an information war right now, the old rules for assessing reports are out the window yet you insist on applying the paradigm...
