People can be hard to predict, but my tentative conclusion as an old beat-up history major with no particular inside track, is that we will either have capitulated or else have lead flying by the 4th of July.

I couldn’t agree more! It may be attempted, but not successfully. My military and LEO friends and I have discussed this at length. They will not follow unconstitutional orders.

I really hope that is the true position of the majority of MIL & LEO. That would fill me with at least a little bit of hope for the future.

It is not, others were impeaching the comments of a retired respected general that, to my knowledge, has not stated he is controlling the news, like the media has, and has no obvious hires in the race...

I have known several retired respected generals, who once they crossed Trump, became something else. Give it time.

Everyone here assumes that everyone has to be onboard for this to turn into a real conflict but according to this page 5 of this paper by worldbank just a few thousand people could cause a massive armed conflict.

Hence why a couple thousand people protesting at the people’s house scares the heck of the establishment.they are “smart” well studied academic types and their staff and advisors are telling them as much. True believer types are the most dangerous enemy out there to .gov
