I don't know where else to put this, so I guess I'll leave it here. Pence received coin after certifying electoral votes. I don't like the Trump=Christ imagery, but selling out for 30 pieces of silver is a mighty judas thing to do.
Drink token. After the day he had, then would be as good as every for him to start drinking.

If I had to guess, it's a challenge coin if some sort. I'm more interested to learn about who handed it to him and why than what is on the coin.

Am I disillusioned and depressed? Yep.

But we survived Carter. We survived Klinton. We survived Obama.

    We will survive Biden.

The dems will now introduce a tidal wave of legislation to advance their socialist agenda. Thanks to our president, we now have a SCOTUS that will block most of it.

The socialists got a lesson yesterday in what happens when you poke the bear with a stick. These people are immoral but they are not stupid. Right now they're cleaning out their skivvies and wondering how yesterday's events would have been different if those who stormed the Capitol had been armed with anything other than patriotism. They know next time it could be different. It's not a lesson they'll forget anytime soon.

Let's calm down and take a step back. There are future elections to plan for, and time to take steps to make sure they're legitimate.

I'm a Trump supporter but I really feel the 'Left' has broken him down mentally with all their bullsnit. I don't see how a man could have done what he has done these last four years with those hound dogs on this a@@ none stop.

I wonder if this is something that happens after every electoral certification or something.

    Absolutely.

The thing that has really perplexed me is the number of folks that I have believed to be fighters based on how they interact here, seem to have given up.

Not everyone has a "happy-dappy" belief in the afterlife to fall back on. If you can truly put yourself in other people's shoes, you can understand how the "I don't care how worldly events turn out - I'm saved" type of attitude isn't convincing to many. Or, the oft-cited, "I think the Silver Lining in all this, is that it may spur the public to a Spiritual Revival that will save the country" view, which many fall back on in times like these.

Sometimes, "the suck" just sucks. Not everybody thinks the way you do. Sometimes, worldly stuff actually matters to people. And the fact that you are personally not that way, doesn't make them "wrong."

Although it may come as a surprise to you, "renounce the world" is not a mainstream belief system. In America, or anywhere, really.

While I understand where you are coming from, I think you don't understand me.

I have NEVER belonged to the I am saved camp.

    This isn't about you.

It's about understanding, and having some compassion for the beliefs of, others who seem to be "giving up" right now. You seem puzzled at the lack of optimism and "fight" being displayed here. You have also gleefully spent the past several months here "tweaking" others who don't share your views.

I'm suggesting to try to understand them. You showed some capacity for that in your exchanges with Phylo. That's encouraging. You've shown us again and again you've mastered the techniques of smart-assery. (As have I - no glass houses here). Maybe there's an opportunity for introspection from the events of this week.

The "Russia! Russia! Russia!" investigation lasted 3 1/2 years.
The seriousness of the charges of widespread election fraud require a full investigation of all claims of criminal activity. Failure to do so is a tacit admission of voter fraud.

I most sincerely apologize, and i do mean that. What I say next is not to be a justification of any of my actions.

I never intended to upset people simply for the sake of upsetting people.I detest hypocristy

What I have always tried to do is say if someone posts to the +10 on the Trump Scale on something I did not think was supportable, then I would reply with a -10 on the Trump scale. Now there are some members here who keep it at a +1 or 2. I kept my responses to a -1 or 2. But some, and I ain't afraid to name names, Bug, Tombs, INGOMike, BigRed are at extremes in my opinion. As an aside though, BigRed liked one of my posts recently even though he once said I could basically die on the side of the road and he would not offer assistance if he passed by so that gives me hope.

So, for example, when I kept getting flak for TDS well Trump Jesus is an equal and opposite response.

I still believe, strongly, that I could set across the table from anyone in this forum, drink a beer and leave at the least with a much better understanding of each other, but I really believe, friends. I would even buy.

I appreciate the thoughtful response. Just an observation. Some would probably have that hypothetical beer with other "tweakers," like Kut or Jetta. But they also from time to time delve in-depth into what they think and why. You rarely if ever do that. It leaves a lot of vacuum for others to fill with assumptions.

    That's a valid criticism

Probably due to phones vs computers responses

I rarely actually physically laugh when reading things on INGO, but I laughed pretty good at this.

How are we going to do that? The people who have kicked and screamed against any means whatsoever of establishing secure elections now control the process of assuring the legitimacy of elections.

I've thought of writing something similar but I think you did it much better than I could. The democrats should look at this as a wake up call or a warning but I somehow don't think they'll take heed. Regardless, I think we need to move on and prepare for the mid-terms, we made good gains in the House this time, we need to keep working. I agree with others when it seemed like the RNC sat this one out. We need to keep up the momentum that Trump had with minority communities and build on that. Unlike the democrats we need to do more than just show up and speak a few words of spanish lol. We had some great new conservatives that were running in CA and MD and some other democrat strongholds, we need to keep supporting them. We need a good ground game like Stacy Abrams was running.

So basically you are saying you are just a contrarian. Its your mission in life to offset and counter opinions that you don't like. OK. Got it.
