And they are moving to NW Indiana. They aren't learning much from their IL woes considering they are trying to institute the same liberal politics in IN that made IL such a cesspool.

    "Illifornication."

Any minute now, I expect an influx of people with 12 INGO posts, asking stuff like "what's the problem with UBC?" or "Why do you oppose a training requirement?"

Not all of them. I know some that have moved here because it is not like Illinois, and they do not want it to be.

Sadly, Lake County, IN has been an extension of Cook County, IL for a long time.

Well, the changes were are taking place too quickly to suit me. I was born in Valpo, and left in 1981. Lived and worked in various Chicago suburbs until 2002 when I moved back. I have watched the Porter County (and Valpo) politicians ignore wishes of the citizens, lie to the citizens, and restrict the rights of business to conduct their business as they see fit. After the Center Township school referendum went through, that was it for me. My mother in law still lives in Valpo, so we go back every month or so...it's not the nice little town that I grew up in any more.

When I left IL six years ago and moved to Lake County, a Hoosier asked me if I was escaping IL why go to Lake County? I now understand as Lake County is loaded with Dems. The US Rep , a Dem, has been in office for decades. That's the bad, the good is I am paying less in taxes here, and find NWI suits me. Even though I'm in a Dem county, I know I'm in a conservative state. It feels better living in a state that's not run by corrupt criminal pols.

Well my fellow Hoosiers, we all have a ring side seat for the demise of not only IN but America in general. The powers that be that ACTUALLY run this country and I am NOT talking about Hillary, are as expert in human nature as Sigmund Freud EVER was. The true forces behind the running of our country know once it takes hold and is elected in sufficient power, what I like to refer to as Santa Clause Syndrome becomes impossible to voted out of power, and that is EXACTLY what our government elections have become on both the state and federal levels. Once the democratic party AKA the socialist party of America, gets enough continuous power to occupy a majority in the USFSC with like minded just justices coupled with the presidency and just enough of both houses of Congress, they will take the actions needed to finally seal the fate of America as a free and sovereign country.

IMHO the trigger point of the true beginning of the end is when the demacRATS finally get private ownership of firearms severely limited or out right banned. It will be at that moment true government enslavement and total abolishment of the US Constitution will begin.

Oh BTW, I fled IL where I was born and raised and lived in for the first 37 years of my life to IN back in 2001. Taxes and gun control pushed me out. My single family home on a double lot incurred over 2x in property taxes as I pay now.

Just a few factoids all we Hoosiers will undoubtedly enjoy. I have two friends who one USE to live in Chicago and the other just moved his adult gainfully employed son back home until he finds his own place. Both migrations to IN were because of impending dramatic increases in property taxes.

Friend #1-Use to live in a beautiful brown stone that they rented out the upstairs the total SQ footage of the place they know as they just sold it at 3100 sq'. When I asked do you mine telling me what tour taxes were going up to on a 3100 sq' house? $25,000 dollars!!!! I about passed out, that is over 25x as much property tax I pay on a house only 900 sq' smaller. They moved into a much larger house in IN valued at $500k and pay less taxes, far less.

Friend #2-There son lived in an apartment in Wriggly vile and his rent due to a impending rise in taxes on income housing in Chicago went up, now get ready for this,
$400 a month!!!! represents an over a 20% increase in rent in one year no less. He has a very good paying job and being a young single guy lived in Wriggly vile for the both the night life and convienent commute to work and he told me he could actually afford the increase but thankfully he was smart enough to realize only a fool pays a great deal more for essentially nothing.

I'm thinking this will not be a isolated occurance but more of a tax driven exodus from Chicago, Cook Co. and eventually IL itself. IMHO the next taxes to be levied will be
#1-A residency tax were all persons who don't live in Chicago but work there will be taxed fallowed by a tax for simply driving through Chicago similar to the system presently in use for open road toll collection on the IL toll roads. Remember an estimated 3 million people commute to work each day to Chicago who don't live there.

In the end it won't matter because govenments have shown time and time again without exception ESPECIALLY IN CHICAGO and ALL of IL for that matter, no matter how many billions they take in in taxes they will ALWAYS spend more than they have. ALWAYS.

I don't think we should just allow these refugees from Illinois into our state unless they've been properly vetted. They might be bringing disease. Or be criminals.

Ha! I slipped over with no problem. Maybe the Gadsden Flag on my front license plate helped.
