Yeah, but he was kind if an overbearing *******.

Well he would have melted many snowflakes...and given no cares about doing so.

I would applaud a return to those days; days where Americans did things, like build the Panama Canal instead of fretting for years over possible impact to a particular flowering cactus or such. Days when accomplishments meant more than feelings and people who accomplished them were respected for doing so. The man in the arena, not the coward who does not dare.

Can I get some titles from you?
He is one of the interesting ones for sure.

I'm currently reading his "The Winning of the West"; very good 4 volume set. Well researched and documented. He was a prolific writer, one of my continuing regrets is not having bought a set of his compiled works I saw in a used book store.

So the New Jersey taxpayer has to pay both state and federal taxes to fight each other to protect the rights of a non-tax paying illegal immigrant. Sounds fair.

    .
Lets see, he's using tax money, to pay law firms, that doubtless contributed to his campaign, to protect illegals that are working for other companies that doubtlessly pay him as well.

Sounds like a well oiled machine, silently fleecing America.

    Always follow the money

    "Remain in Mexico"

Chicago Tribune: Deal with Mexico would make asylum seekers wait outside U.S. borderhttps://www.chicagotribune.com/news...ited-states-mexico-asylum-20181124-story.html

According to outlines of the plan, known as Remain in Mexico, asylum applicants at the border will have to stay in Mexico while their cases are processed, potentially ending the system Trump decries as "catch and release" that has until now generally allowed those seeking refuge to wait on safer U.S. soil.

Why would Mexico agree to this now?

Alarmed by Trump's deployment of U.S. military forces to California, Arizona and Texas, and his threats to close busy border crossings...

Mexico needs the border crossings open more than "we" do... a willingness to apply pressure points.

The Mexican authorities "allowed" these thousands (tens of thousands?) into their country and allowed (no quotes needed here) them to publicly traverse about 2,400 miles to our border. The assumption was we would take them into our country and care for them while they pursued asylum or they would cross illegally to the same effect. Either way, not Mexico's problem to deal with.

How different does it look if these people remain Mexico's problem until some small percentage (16% is what I find) prove to be true refugees and are granted asylum, while 84% are denied?

Then possibly the truth will leak out. Hopefully.
