This is President Trump's tweet on Omars refusal to call out the terrorists attacks of 9/11 for what they are. I think it's highly patriotic. I also think it's his best tweet ever, as a lot of the time I wish he'd keep his mouth shut, and quit giving the left ammo to use against him. This time, he used their words against them.

Well. I'm not usually all that fond of "call out culture". But if the left is gonna use it. It's only fair they should have to live by their own rulez.

I found this interesting. They are removing the guns from turrets 3 and 4 of the Arizona to be installed into shore batteries. Some of those guns were then fired in celebration of VJ Day.

Today is Victory in Europe Day in France, a holyday where we celebrate the end of WW2 in Europe in 1945, and victory of Allied forces over German forces.

US flags, then and now, in the streets of France. :patriot:

Can't wait for some of your pictures Sylvain. I saw your post about limited access this year though.

    And nice pic ^

It's always very moving to see how the youngest generations are taugh about the sacrifice those soldiers have made.

I will do my best to share pictures. There should be a lot of events all across Normandy.Just the D-Day beaches and the Normandy American Cemetery (where the above picture was taken) will be a closed off.
Also a city near by where heads of state will stay.
I'm glad I toured those sites last year.
