I had read about the difficulties of all of "the firsts" this year that I would have. It is true. It runs through your mind, first time I have ever been alone on Christmas Eve, New years, etc, ever in my life.

Made some veggy beef stew, a couple 3 grilled cheese sammys and some coleslaw. Going to watch some Viral Outdoors and maybe do some gun stuff.

I had some of those firsts a few years ago, and they're not fun. There's no reason it has to be that way forever though. I'm up in the air of my thoughts on that, personally.

On the plus side, after those firsts are done, you realize its just another day and it helps you enjoy all of the March 26ths, or whatever other random day, when they come around. Best day I've had in a long long time was just a random day this fall. Don't really know why, but that day sticks with me much more than any spoiled holiday. I already don't remember Christmas 2020 and sincerely don't remember 2019 and 2018. They're not even blurs anymore.

Happy New Year ! Reubens for dinner tonight. DD`s idea sounded really good.
Swirled rye, lean corned beef, thin sliced swiss, and wife is making homemade thousand island.
