When I still worked at Petco I had a guy return an adopted cat because he said he woke up and she was attacking his head...we think she was attracted to something in his hair (he had a rather impressive afro) and he'd never had a cat before. It was really funny

My sister had a huge cat that did not like children. When she had her first child, she asked me to take the cat because they were afraid it might hurt the baby. At that point, I used to babysit my boss' young son. I literally had to lock the cat in my walk-in closet when he came to my apartment or the cat would terrorize him. She was huge and would chase him around and lunge at him. He was in kindergarten so was not a tiny kid. He never did anything to her...this started the very first time she laid eyes on him. I ended up telling my sister it was her cat and she HAD to take it back as I did not want to be the one to have to put down someone else's pet. They ended up taking it to the vet and somehow came up with the diagnosis of Alzheimer's for the cat. They put it down.

As much as I like my cats, I would not tolerate a mean one. If I couldn't take it to the vet to be put down, I'd shoot it. That story is just ridiculous.
