I have never been that interested in MLB????

Don't know why, I followed the Big Red Machine growing up, but lost interest after the strike in the 80's or early 90's.

I assure you that it is. I would stay in a beachfront bamboo bungalow for $7.50 a night. I'd usually take a dive trip to one my favorite places, Koh Haa or to the Ko Phi Phi islands. Phi Phi Don, in the Koh Phi Phi islands, is the most breathtakingly beautiful place that I've ever seen.

The prices vary widely. On my first trip to Thailand I paid under $1000. My last trip was around $1500. Right now, flights are running around $1700. For some reason, flying to SE Asia is far more expensive than the rest of Asia. My flight to China was WAY less than the ones to Thailand. A flight to Beijing can still be had for around $950.

You may be able to rent a boat for a few hours with that money. If you're lucky you may be able to make it as far as that guy from El Salvador who drifted across the Pacific to Asia.
