Even though they changed the laws to make it easier to transport without one, its still a lot less to worry about if you have it. I wish I could get my wife to take the time to do it. She knows she should but she just hasn't done it yet and I can't do it for her. There are times when I have to leave a firearm in the car instead of keeping it on me. If she happens to be in the car and an interaction with an LEO occurs, it could be a problem.

I know supr, I just said the hell with it, I'm spending the money and she'll get over it. My wife's problem is that her older brother dropped a revolver and it went off and killed him. I don't know anything but that so please, don't give me theories, I've already been through it. So she is completely off guns, it took me 7 years of marriage to get her to hold a gun, we understand each other, and if I want a gun in the house she puts up with it, and I try not to push the matter, so having that to contend with has slowed me down on getting it I guess.
