New grips. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong ones. Got the flat bottoms instead of the beveled ones. Not sure that it matters. I can always bevel them myself.

That is a thing of beauty right there. I think we are going to Shipshewana to the gun show this weekend.

Oh...that's right. No worse than a slightly noisy dog. They even eat a lot of bugs and clean up after themselves when they poop on the sidewalk. Is that better?

Yes Thank You very much :)

Since I am new to the 1911, what exactly does that mean?

A mag well is a wide mouth entry point for accurate and fast mag changes. It is an attachment that is usually part of the main spring housing and ads about 3/8ths of an inch to the handle. This extended area is shaped to ramp the mag into the mag slot when doing run and gun or defensive drills. It is a hot-rod accessory. I have them on most of my 1911's.

Thank you. I knew what a mag well was but wasn't sure if it really mattered with the flat bottom grips. I see it can and it makes sense now. I wont be doing any fast or accurate mag changes with this. I'll just buy another 1911. :)
