I'm glad I never pushed it, as soon as I was finished with the run, I just used 4th & 5th gears to get the RPMs down. 130ish was fast enough for me at Muncie Speedway.

That, and the slowdown run was really not in great shape in 79 & 80.

When I ran my Nova bracket car there in the late 70's early 80's it would run mid 10's at 145 or so trap speeds. There was a dip in the right hand shut down that made me pucker in the poo chute so much I ran the left lane when I could. I can not imagine running a bike through there at those speeds.
It has all been re-done in the last few years.
