How far is it to work???

Seriously, during the Blizzard of 78, myself and my cousin rode our horses 4 miles each way to get diapers, milk and bread. There is a RR track just up the road from my Dads place that also ran by a small grocery. Road was closed, so we rode the tracks to town.

No idea, but all of these people that own these places are ridiculous. His management style is fantastic, no bs, this is how you do it, "What the **** are you doing?! Do it the way I showed you!"

7 mi. If I can make to Hwy101, 2 mi. away, I'm good to go! It's that 2mi. that is hell. When the wind blows out of the N, the house 100 yrds away builds the snow up clear across the road, sometimes 2-3' deep. Then another place 11/2 mi west does the same thing. And the same thing at the intersection with 101, orchard on the north side stacks it deep too.

Yep, it's always the same. It's been since 1979 since I have lived at my Dad's place, and I'll bet the snow drifts are still in exactly the same places.

At the intersection with 101 you need to keep your speed up to get thru the drift which around 30' in length. Have to make sure nothing is coming to make it thru it.

It was worse in them days here. All the farmers still had fences in place, with dead weed stalks in them. Talk about a snow fence.

Just hold on tight....start screaming and gas it.......:)

    Works for me....:)
Hears what I do. I turn my lights off, look both ways for other lights, if I don't see them, I gas it. If I see other lights I wait till they get past, then gas it. There's been times I was in the middle of 101.

You aren't on the dirt track anymore, CM...

That made me remember a few times I actually did that. Point the nose at a hole I knew was closing and just floor it screaming as I went through. Only failed me 1 time and that was not only painful but very expensive.
