Had a migraine at work today, swallowed a vicodin and it went away. I feel it coming back. It CAN'T come back. I am off work tomorrow!!!

That's a bummer MrsG. With me, one of those usually does it.

Haven't had one in months though (knocks on wood)

I will kill it with Vicodin again and again if I have to. I may just need sleep. new school start time has me getting up earlier but not getting to sleep earlier.

That stinks, MrsG. Can't say that I've ever had a real migraine, thank goodness...and I can't take Vicodin, makes me sick, so I don't know what I'd do if I ever got one.

They make other prescriptions that work, but they are uber expensive. Like $15-18 dose expensive. If I have any vicoden around, that works as good or better and is way cheaper.

WAYYYY cheaper and works for now. I've tried migraine meds and they don't really work
Thankfully I don't really have to worry about it. I feel for everyone that does though, I hear they suck.

    suck is a kind word
no light, no sound, stomach is flipping and turning. all you want to do is sleep, but the pain won't let you. Cool compresses on my eyes helps. once the pain subsides enough to let me fall asleep, I usually pass out for a few hours.
With me working now it is imperative that I catch them early and get them in check. I can't leave work for a migraine.

Thankfully I don't have much stress...very laid back around here. No kids, work is going well, and I have motorcycles in the garage and guns in the safe. Gotta say, I can't complain.

HotPocket sent me some links on natural ways to treat hypothyroidism. Not only will the natural ways help "kickstart" the thyroid, it can help with other issues stemming from it all. if I remember right, migraines was on the list of things. I need to talk to my doctor and see if he thinks I can try this natural way and cut back the synthroid.

If you ever want to try a nutritionist, my wife knows a great one here in Batesville. She is a little unconventional, but people drive for 100's of miles to see her.

Argh... Found a pretty good scratch in the paint between the cab and the bed [just above the bed, where you can see it plain as day] that's down to the primer on my new truck...

I didn't do it - haven't ever even been in the back yet...

Just want to make sure it won't rust [so I'm gonna have the body shop I trust give it a look]. So irritated but such is life - nothing in this world is ever perfect.

that's an idea. money is going to be a huge issue for us soon. he has to be off a week before he can even file unemployment and then it's the end of the week before you see a check. well that's how it was last time he was laid off
