CM, that new upper has me scratching my head.

Factory .223 will chamber fine, but my reloads are hanging up. It will not ggo completely into battery. My reloads are all measuring out at 2.24", same as the factory stuff and both loads fit in my case gauge just fine.

Before I do that, I am going to go get a couple of boxes of factory rounds and run it through. Maybe a break in of 60-80 rounds will smooth off the feed ramps and the burr???

When I eject the reloads, the case and bullet are all scratched up. I think I will take it all apart and see if there is a burr in there.

That sounds like a fould chamber. If you have a good .45 bore brush (brass is fine) put some solvent on it and work the chamber with it. You will ruin the brush but it will most likely remove any crap left in there from the build process.
I had an upper with the same issues early this summer. It would take some but not all .223. Scratching the cases up on the tight ones.
If the brush does not get the chamber clear you have deeper issues.

Well, I don't have a .45 bore brush, but need to go to wally world to buy some ammo anyway. I will try that. Thanks

When you do this the brush will be tight and it will be tough but if you use some good solvent and get after the chamber this process should get it cleared. If not it will be a deeper issue than just removing some assembly crud.
