I just went out to the range to check my AR build.

I get set up, chamber a round and pull the trigger, boom. Sight in again, boom. Pull the trigger again, click. WTf, look down and it's a mis feed. I drop the mag, clear the chamber, put the mag back in and chamber the round. Look downrange, AND THERE ARE TWO FREAKING KIDS CLIMBING OVER THE BACKSTOP!!!

I heard a truck go down the driveway while I was shooting the two rounds. They pulled into the shotgun range next door. While I was clearing the misfeed, the kids got out of the truck and ran straight down the range to the backstop. There is a concrete wall between the ranges 75% of the distance, no way to see the kids until they are almost all of the way down there. No idea they could get there that fast.

Range has a buzzer light system that must be set off before going downrange. Nothing!!!

I put everything away and went next door to the shotgun range and attempted to explain to the idiot Mom what had just happened and explained the rules. Hope I got through.

I am so pissed. That was so close. Those kids can't run that fast, they had to be running down range when I fired the 2nd shot.

Wow Sam! I'd have done more than talk to the mom...is this a private range, like you have to pay to be a member? If so I'd report her to the board.
