I was a straight off the bean guy. My sister made a pot the last time I went out to her place and it was very good. I asked her what it was and she told me it was my brand. I was not believing her until she showed me. Then she told me that she added 1 small scoop of a chocolate blend to the regular (I love this emoticon). It is very good and how I now make my morning brew. Nothing fancy but very smooth.

I attribute it to over 20 years in the meat industry (retired butcher). Working in 35-40 degree temp year round. We would drink coffee from dawn to dusk.

I am a retired Refrigeration tech.
Spent way to much time in and around -50 deg. to the range you spent all day in.
No, I do not miss it.

You know, I really do miss cutting meat sometimes. May sound morbid, but it had a zen-like quality to me. Definitely do not miss the temps though. Or the aches & pains from the strenuous work.

I miss some aspects of the trade. I met some seriously crazy meat cutters over the years. I started out working the systems in packing houses all over the state. Small process plants that do not even exist anymore.

Times change.

My son and I still do residential HVAC for folks but no more big stuff.
