The best prep I did for this winter is buy a $5 pair of bluejean overalls from Goodwill to wear when shoveling snow. Cut the sleeve off an old sweater and made a balaclava as well.

Just finished chipping the ice off of the end of my driveway. My Honda has issues getting over the curb when there is 2" of ice all over it. Still saving up for a truck with big 'Ol grippy tires.

Is there a way to have a PM sent to you when someone quotes your post on this forum? I received a message like that once when churchmouse quoted and responded to a post I made, but that was the only time that has happened.

I think when they were upgrading the site they had that option-they were having a little trouble with it and they might have turned it off.
