Hope they didn't spend the day shooting. :spend:

We are getting too many outsiders coming in to shoot, so they recently started locking the gates. The key code is on the back of your membership card.
Maintenance guy was mowing when I arrived, but was breaking for lunch. Asked me to lock up when I left. Didn't notice that there was a car at the shotgun range until after I left. If he was not a member, he was stuck there until somebody else stopped bye. Oh well.

On one of my son's school papers this evening I find:
His favorite quote: "I didn't fail 1,000 times. I found 1,000 ways to not make a lightbulb." Thomas Edison
    He wonders "How everything works"

Of course, his plans are "to be a video game designer too, so I guess it evens out" and ultimately "retire and go to florida".

    Damn that karma ;)

Robby, thanks for the offer of a loaner .22, but I want to shoot my own. Haven't had any luck finding a used Marlin 795 for sale, so I'm going to pick up a new one tomorrow. That's the same rifle my wife uses and I am familiar with it.

Hello RMQ, glad to hear your son is on track.

Halfway there at least! I keep telling him to be a doctor so he doesn't have to fix stuff on his own. Afford to pay someone else to do it!
Of course, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree (that karma thing), so he is doomed.
    Robby! :wavey:

Nice work on RnR's badge!

Thanks Sylvain. It was actually SnS's idea... I just drawed it up/printed it.

I knew you said that before, but when you spoke about not sure about shooting the ar, I wasn't sure if maybe you didn't get a chance to pick up another 22. So i threw that out there. Saves me mounting the front sight :)

If you want, go for the AR. I did a saturday with an ar before (hence my earlier "It's really loud" mention earlier). Everyone was commenting on the noise. They stick you at one end though so you are away from everyone else.

It was kind of funny... it'd take me 2 minutes jacking around to get POA, then 5 rounds in cadence.
