    Anyone know the street price for beater used cars?? Got one I am going to sell.

    96 Toyota Avalon. v6, 205K miles. Runs great but needs a power steering pump or hoses, it leaks. AC and everything works fine. Body damage on pass front door.

    Think $1200 is too much or not enough???

    SAM, call a bank and see what they'd loan you for it. Act like you're looking to buy one and you were curious what the loan value would be before you went to negotiate. Although it might be too old too, I don't know.

    if a vehicle is over 10 years old a bank won't lend on it. You would have to get a loan form some other form of credit place like a buy here pay here dealership or a classic car loan company.

    Yeah, that's what I learned. I did look up trade in value, so I have an idea what to ask.
