    My first "car" was very similar. 1973 Mercury Montego.

    Those are cool! I miss the older cars...especially when it comes to working on them. I can remember when my old Trans Am had anything wrong with it, it was easy to pop the hood and do whatever needed to be done. When my current daily driver needed the alternator replaced last summer the passenger side wheel had to be taken off and you had to pull out half the parts in the engine by turning them just the right way to get them out...and all that was just to GET to the alternator :rolleyes:

    Yeah, my 70 Chevy Pickup had a small block V8, and there was still room to have a party under the hood.:laugh:
