I wonder if maybe people don't know what to say. I mean that's a pretty solemn and sacred thing. A simple "Hey thanks a lot" just doesn't cut it in a situation like that.
that is what I am thinking. as much as I want to say something, I can't off the top of my head think of something solemn.

Sylvain that is so neat.. I wish more would come up with stuff... I'm thinking

I just hoped I would have more responses especially on this side of the Altantic and with so many members being military vets or having vets in their family. :dunno:

But I guess there is still time left and I will do it even if I just get one message from one people.

I had 3 Uncles that served, Army, Coast Guard and Air Force.
I don't know if any where on the beach. 2 are gone and the last has Alzheimer so I may never know. Knowing them, I know it was a great sacrifice for all

I understand what you're saying but sometimes a short and sincere message can be just as good.

Did you slice them thin enough?

Not sure, I tried but maybe there's a bit too thick I will just wait longer. :)

Im kinda doing that for all the veterans of all the Allied armed forces even if they didn't die on the beaches.
Last year I visited a British War Cemetery, we also have a Canadian one around here that I would like to visit this year.
