    ok back to cleaning. 1hr and counting. A complete strip scrub and rebuild in process. I bet she cycles faster the next time I shoot steel with her. she was that dirty.

    I want to retire my Marlin Papoose but I can't make up my mind on which 22 I want.

    the 10 22 is kind of the chevy of the 22 world there are tons of thing for them but there are a lot of options out there. Take your time and find what you want. This isn't exactly what I wanted but it was close enough for the right price.

    1 and half hours later she is clean. And I was right she cycles faster now. I bet my speeds pick up at FNS. and I already have stages under 3.5 seconds for 6 shots.

    My depth mic. measured 40 thousandths of an inch of packed carbon on most every part of the bolt and receiver. I had to use a dental pick to scale it off.:xmad:

    I should get my money back and send him bill for my service.

    I've got a $1,500 10/22 that Ive shot thousands of rounds out of and Ive cleaned it once...I think.
