First, why are you cleaning your AR? Did you just run 2k rounds through it?

To answer your question-- 2 main reasons.

1. To avoid damaging the barrel crown, which can cause all kinds of accuracy issues.
2. To keep all the gunk from falling out of the barrel and into your receiver.

lovemywoods did it the old fashioned way. It included Rose-Hulman, a chemical engineering degree, and Eli Lilly.

I do it the new school way. I mooch off of lovemywoods.

And I'm doing it the new new school way. I'm gaining employment and befriending esrice in order to mooch off of his mooching.
