    Yep, they sure did...You and I grew up with the WWII generation as our elders...Todays kids don't have a clue what they went through.

    My Grandpa didn't serve, he was sole surviving son in a farming family and had really, really poor eyesight. But his friends and neighbors all served and I grew up hearing stories about them. Our neighbor Donald was a tank driver in Pattons 3rd Army and sole survivor of his tank crew.

    Now they think the kids need a safe place.

    I love me some tanks.
    I just saw a WW2 instructional film for tank crews the other day.

    I would like to see more version of those movies but I believe it's classified stuff.

    I might go visit a tank museum, not sure yet.
    We have some cool WW2 museums in the area (well they are a bit far away).
    One closed last year, they sold a bunch of tanks and armored cars, memorabillia, uniforms etc.

    Wish I had the money to keep that stuff here.

    My grandpa served in WWI. He never talked about it. All I knew was he was a mechanic in the Army.
