    Chestnuts made up 20% of the trees here in the GSF back in the day until the asian blight wiped them out. Produced a tremendous amount of mast for wildlife and people both.

    A lot of weird stuff happening to our trees. I need to replace some Ash, don't know what to go with. And the Spruce may be in danger.
    There are so many dead Ash trees down here, it's scary. I'm lucky not to have any on my property.
