    I don't know how he knew it, but somehow Max (the dog) knew I was awake. I hadn't opened my eyes, I had not moved, but he was on me within minutes of me waking up. I was not ready to get up either. I was going to snooze a bit

    Pee-pee cal and the usual pain convinced me it was time.
    I actually closed the windows. It was 64 in the family room and 65 in the house.
