Miserable AF here. Doing laundry and changing all the filters in the house. Furnace filter, air return filters, and cleaning the filters on the air purifiers. Dinner with the BF later this evening. Celebrating my first paycheck on Friday.

Having a discussion on FB whether those noisy huge winged bugs are cicadas or locusts. Whatever they are, my dogs like to munch on them. Ewwwww

Ok, looked them up. These are definitely cicadas. Locusts look like grasshoppers.

I'm looking forward to 2021....That's when the 17 yr cicadas come back.
I live in an older part of town, the houses around us were built in the 30's. My old house was built in 1906.
The garage at the old house had so many cicadias on the south side of the garage it looked like it was painted black. There were thousands of them in my yard. They were everywhere and on everything....It was almost unbelievable. I had real difficulties mowing the yard because of all of the cicada tunnels.
