I did get the Carb rebuilt for the 64 today. It was full of crap from the long sleep.
Put new components in the distributor and Hi-Po cap/rotor and coil.
Made up a new oil pump priming tool. I had one but God knows where it got off to.
Cut the component tray off of a distributor and grind the drive gear teeth off. All that is left is the mount structure and the drive shaft. Drop it in the hole and it will engage the oil pump drive but not the cam drive gears. Attach a 1/2" drill motor and spin up the pump. This primes the "Entire" engine including the lifters. Let it run for a few minutes and oil is everywhere it is supposed to be again.
After a 10 year sleep this is required before putting heat in the engine again.
