Timing isn't right, but we'll do it some time. 5-6 hours in the car round trip right off the bat, and then seeing him and visiting with family. We're leaving the dogs home, and it looks like we'll probably be gone 10-12 hours.

Nah, just got back. We have a small (about the size of a one car garage) sally port that is used to receive deliveries for the cafeteria. It has a two way badge access door into the kitchen. One of the new ladies working in the cafeteria went in there to get some stuff. She is new so she does not have a proxy badge, which open doors, yet. So, she is stuck in this small sally port and she has claustrophobia. There is a buzzer with a tv video screen that rings in our office but it takes me a couple minutes to get there to let her out. She almost passed out and had a pretty bad panic attack.
