I will never buy a car without a spare.
Bad enough with a donut, but at least that gets you by for awhile.

    I'm with you on that.
I read that they are starting not to use donuts anymore, since they don't save that much weight or space.

They either give you a real spare tire or a can of stuff to fix a flat.
    It's good to have both.

I'm not sure we're on the same wavelength.
Crutchfield sells a harness that goes between the new radio (radio you are installing) and the car.
There should be no other harness.

The one he wants has an end that the car harness plugs into and the other end would plug into the back of the radio he wants to install. They don't show such a thing.

This is what the suburban has in it that plugged into the radio he took out. The radio he wants to install needs a different plug to go into the back of the radio.

I've heard of some cars sold with the air can/sealant and a card to call for assistance (sorta like AAA).

I refuse to buy a car like that.

I have 2 spares on my SUV.
The donut that came with it, under the rear.
And a full sized tire on the front of it.

Please give me the make/model/year of the car it's being installed in,
and the make/model of the radio.

    I'll look.

There I was is sitting at the bar staring at my drink when a large, trouble making biker steps up next to me, grabs my drink and gulps it down in one swig.
“Well, whatcha gonna do about it?” he says, menacingly, as I suddenly burst into tears.
“Oh, come on, man,” the biker says, “I didn’t think you’d CRY. I can’t stand to see a man crying.”
“This is the worst day of my life,” I say. “I’m a complete failure. I was late to a meeting and my boss fired me. When I went to the parking lot, I found my car had been stolen and I don’t have any insurance. I left my wallet in the cab I took home. I found my wife in bed with the gardener, and then my dog bit me.”
“So I came to this bar to work up the courage to put an end to it all. I buy a drink, I drop a capsule in and sit here watching the poison dissolve; then you, you jackass, show up and drink the whole thing! But enough about me, how’s your day going?”

It is going to go into my '89 Chevy Suburban.

He thought he got it out of about a 1990 Chevy Van, and it looks like the radio that was originally in the Suburban. However, he now thinks the van was probably more like a '93. I will have to go out tomorrow and see if I can find any numbers on it. He was playing at the junk yard the other day...that is always loads of fun. He came home with spare injectors and throttle bodies for my truck along with some other miscellaneous stuff...a bucket full of goodies for $20.

If I disappear, power is flickering. My friend in Chesterton lost power a while ago and hasn't gotten it back yet.

It is pitch dark here....totally black out there. Lightning has begun.

I think I am going to log off for a bit.

I'll let him live for now....:)
