    Evening, Leadeye. I think you've infected me. I've been looking at Colt 1903's and 1908's.

    Good solid guns.The 1903s are still pretty reasonable in price and have an elegant classical look. American art and history that you can shoot!

    Piles of them for sale on GB, best deals are on the type 3s. Keep in mind that original magazines are 125-250 depending on condition. Most aftermarket mags work but it's good to know if there's an original mag in the gun as it a big part of the value. The same applies even more in the other Colt autos like the 1902.

    I wouldn't even mind finding a refinished one. I don't need a museum piece. I want a shooter.
