The gun in my avatar is all quad rail, and it's never had anything other than a red dot. It is a monolithic upper and it's so heavy, I couldn't imagine putting anymore weight in it.

The 556 is heavier than a normal AR, if there is such a thing as a normal AR anymore.

American Picker was at his house not long ago and the show is supposed to air sometime in the next couple of months. I want to see it just to see what he was wearing and if he showed them his ice cream bowl that he keeps in his freezer and has NEVER washed. I had heard stories about him from a friend and didn't believe them until we met him at King Gyro a few times. He is in his 80's I believe.

Piston guns are always front heavy. Mine is probably as heavy, and it doesn't have a piston.

nope...JD Jones did the whole rifle, was the second or third AR he did in the 300 Whisper

it is amazingly quiet and accurate, has an adjustable gas system so it can be tuned for loads

The Ciener can on my Ruger 77 .308 is largish as well but it is also very quiet
