    I had more fun with the 65 GTO I had for a brief period. The 389 3 duece motor hung a rod out. They will not wind up like a chevy. Buddy had crashed his vett and was heading of to the Nam so he sold me the car.....with the 427 tri-power. Those will set right in a GTO with minor adjustments. They are Chevells in goat clothing. Trying to get a race, lift the hood, idiots would say "Is that a 389 tri-power".....I would say....Yup.....they would watch the tail lights and pay up.
    That one got totaled.

    uncle had a 68 goat that had tri-power 389 for about a month after he bought it new then he went with the angled dual quads.......it was stuipd fast!!!!

    my 69 was turning around 525 with low box with rock crushers 3500 # hays clutch......if i did my part would pull a 8.0 flat in 1/8.......not bad for a street car

    My 389 was quick but not fast. I had to turn it up like a Chevy to get anywhere fast. #1 did not like it and put a window in the block.
