    84 i had a 69 chevelle SS 396 4 speed....not quite stock:@ya:

I couldn't afford to keep up with my buddies and their cars, couple of them had rich daddies.
So I bought a 75 Kawasaki 900Z1. Me & my Dad put an 1182CC Rat kit in it. Would run the 1/4 at 11 sec flat and 128mph.
Would have gone faster for someone who really knew how to ride.

I had more fun with the 65 GTO I had for a brief period. The 389 3 duece motor hung a rod out. They will not wind up like a chevy. Buddy had crashed his vett and was heading of to the Nam so he sold me the car.....with the 427 tri-power. Those will set right in a GTO with minor adjustments. They are Chevells in goat clothing. Trying to get a race, lift the hood, idiots would say "Is that a 389 tri-power".....I would say....Yup.....they would watch the tail lights and pay up.
    That one got totaled.

Mine was responsible for the scar on the left side of my face.

I miss an unmarked curve going oh too freaking fast and went out through a corn field. Was early fall and the corn was full up. That saved my life but and ear of corn will leave a hell of a mark at triple digits. I was one massive contusion. I still feel it from time to time.
