Ok, here is the kind of mount I had....

    images

You can see the top piece has the "V" in it which rests perfectly on the cross bar of the A2 front sight. You get the longer screws put the bottom on and if you have a light that would mount on "rails" you will be able to mount it to the bottom part and adhere the "tape switch" to the A2 guards..

That spitzer guy on CNN makes me want to :puke:.

He's railing on high capacity "clips" and how only bad guys use them.

Shouldn't he be looking for a hooker?

I had the 29 rd Scherer mag for my Glock 35 / Kel-Tec Sub 2000 and I hated it. Sold it b/c it just wasn't reliable. Now I carry a 1911 and I don't even like the 10 round mags because of their reliability issues. The 7 and 8s work great and I'm good with that.

I totally think that anyone that wants high cap mags should be able to get them but, personally do not get excited bout 'em...

I would vote for a quad handguard.

I had one for a while and got stuck in the woods looking for someone for entirely too long, after a couple hours, that quad handguard is not comfortable at all. Tears up your hand and I could do without the added weight.

When I was a lil baby Cop we carried a total of 18 rounds on duty.
Including the six in the S&W M66.
Of course we had to learn shot placement instead of "Field of Fire" maneuvers. ;)

Wow. Because, I carry a 1911 on duty, I have to carry 6 mags on duty instead of the standard 3 for the Glock and other double stack guys!

With the standard 3 I would have had 25 rounds! I should bring your point up to my bosses, "Sir, I bet there was a time when you only carried 18 rounds on duty." "Is it really necessary for me to carry 49?"
