I just got the sickest feeling in the pit of my stomach.

That doesn't sound good, but I'll pray that that little boy pulls through. Miracles can happen.

Found a mouse surprise outside the back door when I got home from the shop today.

One thing I did learn today is the difference between mice and a brown mouse with a white belly is a field mouse and doesn't typically nest in the house.

Yep, ours is brown/white. Checked the carcasses in the trash too.

So now, are they coming in the hole in the bedroom or is the cat bringing them in to play with?

She had another in the house this morning but I had no time to chase it and kill it, so I am praying it was the carcass outside the back door this afternoon.

I've gone through food storage cabinets and see NO signs of mice droppings.
