    Don't blow yourself up!! be careful out there. :D
    You would be surprised how much of a concentration of natural gas it takes to go BOOM.
    My boss ripped out a 1 1/4 plastic high pressure line out of the ground once...... backhoe still running. I ran over there and folded the line over and taped it shut.

    A couple of years ago a guy hit one of the main lines on his farm right off of US-12 near union MI it blew a 40 by 50 foot hole in the ground, they never did find him or at least all of him. broke windows a half mile away.

    That was a big line.
    The city contractor hit a 24" main in an alley. Burnt the crap out of a guy who was smoking outside his garage. I think he lived. Poor guy.
