Finally got around to stripping the “new to me” Mauser M48 today and trying to figure out what’s wrong with safety. Was surprised to find it has a Timney trigger on it and it’s not compatible with the Mauser safety. With the gun empty, if I have the safety on and pull the trigger, the safety blocks firing pin, but in the Timney trigger pack the sear is no longer holding the firing pin. When I drop the safety the firing pin snaps forward! Uh-oh! Think I may have to get a stock trigger to put back in it.

my wife's new TV stand arrived, looks like some assembly required. I need to get her to help me finish cleaning out "my" closet before the kids move in. She took over half of it years ago due to a space issue with her 2 closets :): My part was done on Monday, I might be getting impatient, I just want to get it done :dunno:
Lots of luck. Once taken you never get it back. It is the way of things.
