Even Susan has said that I'm trying to raise them like my dad raised me. It worked on me, but I don't know why it doesn't work on them. That's my parental naivete kicking in. Not all kids are the same and they don't all respond to the same input. Am I getting close? :):
And you are four years behind on parental involvement/structure.

Well, we raised our youngest granddaughter for most of the first year of her life, so that was my first taste. But she was such an easy baby. And Susan did the diaper changing. I would feed her though. I told Susan I'd handle the input if she'd handle the output. :):

Actually, when they were first born, the boys were here too because Susan would babysit them before her daughter moved to California. She was babysitting them when her ankle was broken and that lead to complications with that. I fed them too.

Thats my take. If Mom was as I suspect they had "ZERO" structure/parenting in their lives.
It is a serious uphill struggle to fix that at this point in their young lives, but it can be done.
    Love and understand them.
You are spot on! I love them, but right now I don't fully understand them. I kinda don't "like" them even though I love them. Frequently. :lmfao:
