    Agreed, made me ask though, are those big "Standard Missiles" effective against something flying as low & slow as a chopper?

    That's out of my scope. They have some on certain ships that can take out aircraft but I'd think they'd just use the big Gatling gun type guns for that, that can track a fly through the sky from what I've heard. I was only on a ship 3 times in my career and I didn't get the grand tour :(

    Fleet air defense operates in layers. There are different range based engagement zones for different weapons systems. Low and slow can cause problems but not insurmountable ones.

    OK....I promised not to complain about the heat. Well, after working in the sun on the east side of the building (wind from west, no breeze...at all...none) on black asphalt that measures 138*....well......It is freaking hot........:faint:

    I spent a bunch of time this week inside a black metal trailer. It was pretty bad but your situation sounds worse.
