Plus don't you find that the stupid ******* friend is occasionally very useful? I often don't like going places, and have discovered that ******* friend can cause us to be thrown out much faster than I could otherwise make a polite exit.

That's what makes me think she's awful. Either her emotional depth only goes that far, or she's too much of a turd to try to grow/change/progress.
