They stand under the brows/eves run out shoot the round then run back to the club house and break out the towels and oil to dry them off as fast as the can.

It's pretty funny to watch. They run in use one towel to dry it completely off. Then another to oil the outside of it. Then they sign up for another squad to do it all over again.

I think I'd oil it before the match and just leave it wet until it was all over, then give it a good cleaning.
