Don't be surprised if I just can't help myself and I throw a bunch of bolt ons at it.

Like a turbo.........right.....?
I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about it
Boost rules.
Knock retard sucks though
But it saves pistons.....

Well unless you are talking about a 5.3LS powered fiero, then I think one turbo would work just fine.... Just don't tell the guy I ran into at the Pontiac Nationals last weekend....If one turbo is good, then two are more better.
Back when I was really into the 3800 S/C stuff, I remember reading about guys building turbod ones using the N/A 3800 internals, because they were stronger...
Has huge potential. Other than the weight (not a fat joke I swear!!!) it could be made to handle very well. Make a nice power tour car. That could be an amazing resto-rod!

3800's are amazingly resilient.
Ever watch a cash for clunkers vid on one? I remember watchin one that went for 8 mins at redline without oil before it seized up. Too bad the gooberment put it out of commission cause of emissions.. That engine has been around since the 60s... Shame. They got amazing fuel economy for the engine size and the cars they were in. The power was right in the sweet spot for a daily driver...3800's are amazingly resilient.
Around here, that would be considered high miles! She's gonna blow!!!! My dad has been trying to sell a Pontiac vibe (Toyota matrix) for a neighbor lady. Has 150k on it and that's been the major turn off for people, they freak out! People are still stuck in the old days when it comes to mileage... I've had numerous vehicles over 200k in my young life, all of them GM. My aunt has a 05 Tahoe with 250k, no issues. Technology has come a long way since CM was in diapers...This one's an '01 with 120k on it. It's getting hard to find them with lower miles.
