Needed to do a little mind clearing tonight... Love this ol girl. She may be mine sooner than I thought.... Will have to give up my Grand Prix to make it happen, but I cannot let this one out of the family... Too many memories.

I really like the stance on that one.

The other day, I saw an older man backing a '68 GTO out of his garage in my neighborhood. Looked like a typical senior citizens car ie; dented around the corners, a quarter panel with dent, etc. However, it appeared to be all original, including the paint and wheels. Would love to get my hands on that one at a reasonable price.:)

    Same color as your Lemans.

Yeah, but back then they were rated in gross HP. I doubt if it comes close to 425 HP net, unless they've made some significant enhancements!

Those engines responded well to simple tuning Mods. Timing/jetting/exhaust etc would net amazing gains over showroom.

I don't remember how far it's lowered... It sits pretty low in the front, have to lift it slightly just to stick a low pro jack under the crossmember...

I'd be all over that '68! Love survivor cars...

By the looks of that engine, we'll need at least a 50 gal drum of oil to get her home! I've often thought about taking a week vacation, flying out west someplace, finding an old car for a couple grand and trying to drive it back home.

This will be me if I ever take on another project. I'm tired of dealing with the rust. I know you can cut it out, replace sheet metal, etc, but that is my weak point when it comes to working on cars. Next time, I will bring back something rust free.

I was just kinda drooling over this. It's the right color. Drop top. Black wheels look sick. Lower it and a set of glass packs. Instant coolness.

    62 Buick Invicta Convertible

I also have a fondness for Buicks. My mom had a '67 GS convertible, my dad a '66 or thereabouts Wildcat and I grew up with Estate Wagons with 455's in them. Fun times.

I even had an Apollo I hot rodded a little.

That is the smartest thing to do. You'll spend quite a bit more the the interior though, if it's been sitting outside.

Delmar California. Found it sitting for sale when I was there for a race in the mid 80's.

Bought and drove it home on 7 cylinders.

New left rear quarter (hit not rust) and stripped the chrome. Last car I ever painted.

355 small block with some enhancements and a turbo 350. Highway rolling magic carpet.

Still has the "CommieFornia" plate on the front
