I'm not gonna lie, I've checked out more than a couple lemans because of you.

Honestly, if I could have chosen a car to build it would have been a 71-72 Chevelle. I love the lemans though because it's different and I've got so many memories in it now, it's never ever ever leaving me. I'll sell ever other car I have and drive it daily if I had to.

The GM "A" body is such a great platform to build on. So much is available out there. They drive really nice stock wth their coil springs, already have a 4 link in the rear. The biggest improvement I noticed was getting the center of gravity down and adding some big sway bars. Add in some grippy tires and they become a corner carving machine.

Got the 350 pulled down on Friday.

Some scratches in #2 cylinder have me a little concerned that they might not clean up with a bore job.

Crank has some wear groves that might not clean up either.

A GM Performance crate engine might be on the short list.

Has anybody ever used an engine from Blue Print? It seems that a lot of the major supply houses sell them.
I like the 383 430HP roller motor they offer. Just add a carb and your gtg.

I have seen these. No direct experience.
How deep are the groves in the crank. .010-.010 is pretty standard and will live.
+.030 is pretty easy as well. + 40 will be OK unless you intend boost abuse.

Parts are going to Shakers Machine Shop in Granger, IN tomorrow to be evaluated.
The Bore is currently standard on the 350
    Not sure about the crank.

I'm probably going to sell the complete small journal 327 with double hump heads. (No accessory holes)
The double hump heads off the 350 will be for sale too (with accessory holes)

I'm not sure what Blueprint offers, but most of those aftermarket companies are using reman blocks. If you get one from GM, it's a brand new block. My uncle has a GM ZZ383 425 hp 450 tq in his '66 Impala. Couple that with MSD ignition and a Holley carb, nice freakin engine.
