I'd like to say there is a cool story behind this, but in reality I just had to park in the wet grass last night so some guests could park in the driveway.... Had to make an oil run this morning...

So the chemical head gasket repair is holding...:)
Well I had suspicions that it has failed, checked this morning and it was down..... It was a quart low on oil. I'll keep the fluids topped off till I find an LS and can start planning that project. I want to get the engine first, because which engine I end up with will set the coarse for the swap.

I will check the yard again this week.

Each time I see your car Rusty I think of the Gumball Rally. :)
:) The whole point of that car is fun. Just plain fun. Too many people baby these old cars and make them all pretty and then never drive them. I've kinda always had a thing for old the old race cars, so that's the look I am going for. The patina adds to the cool factor. Purists don't like it, I don't care. Every time I see a little kid smile, look, point, freak out.... That's what that car is for. Never had more fun in my life with a vehicle.

I think I'm going to set my budget for an engine with harness and computer at $1200. Whatever the lowest mileage engine I can find. If I went with the 5.3, that could be done for half the price.... The bigger bore is calling to me tho.

There is power to be had in the 5.3 but yeah......good for the cubes.
