I'll be there early, might or might not be there all day. She'll be all stickered up:

Lookin' good! We didn't even try to come out, cold and wet doesn't make good spectator weather. On a positive note though we did get the shifter in the Galaxie worked out finally!:rockwoot:

I can see that is has a lot of potential. Try and build the drive train for the asking price..Nope.

If I was in the market to go racing I would snatch that up, gear it up, put some slicks on it and go back to supper-Pro. We did OK with our a cross over box.

You can't build a car like that for the asking price. And for the money its a heck of a package deal for sure. I doubt that it will be on the market very long

I’d love to get a 7.99 out of my car. “Should” be possible.

If my math is correct (desired 1/8th mile time X's 1.59 that is 12.70 1/4 mile ET. If my math is correct.
You will most likely be looking at 13 flat if you get hooked up. 12.90's on a good pass.
This is what my sons Monti ran with almost the exact set up. It hooked.
Same package in my Malibu wagon netted near the same times but it was a 3 peddle car.

You have some pretty good heads so there is a plus.

If you squeeze a 12.70 out of that car I will be very very happy. :woot:

I’ve seen Mustang’s like I’ve had run 13.0 with nothing but bolt-ons and gears. Those things are heavy and don’t even have 300 at the crank. I have high hopes. We’ll see.

I am starting to feel like I want a straight line car. My lemans is for the twistys. I have a ‘56 poncho 2 door that was destined to be a gasser, also have a ‘57 Chevy 210 2 door that was destined to be a flipper. Kinda thinking I may keep the ‘57 when it’s done. Not my favorite body style, but they can be seriously cool.

It will require a facey space account to run. But it should.

Edit: weird. Link was dead in my post but active in your quote. Corrected and should work

Should be in the 3100-3200 lb neighborhood. With the cam, rockers, heads, and compression I’ve got it should be a legit 400hp, 450+tq. 3.90 gears. Probably end up with a 2500-3000 stall. It’ll have 275/60/15 ET Streets and a traction device, probably slapper bars.

Stall will be right at 2200 rated with the ability to flash higher if you lean on it. These work really well with that engine package on a driver.
I thought that Poncho would be heavier. The Monti Carlo I mentioned was 3500 curb. It hooked pretty well. Good days were 12.90-ish. Hot slimy muggy days were low 13's. It had an R-700 in it with 3.73's

Should be interesting to see how yours runs.

You would think but my truck comes in at 3650 as it sits. Actually that isn’t true. It was 3650 and I’ve dropped some weight and the heads will help too
